At times like these..........

.
Hurricane Florence Live Updates
.
When awful news is happening,
.
I feel confused,
.
as to how to blog.
.
Going into a *blogging depression*
.
does nothing, for anyone.
.
So I guess I just have to say this.
.
And then, simply go on....
.
And perhaps,  I'm not the only one feeling this way.
.

We can't feel bad enough nor sad enough to make the extremely unfortunate folks going through this disaster feel better. We can offer heartfelt sympathy and caring certainly but I, personally, don't feel letting ourselves get down or depressed helps anything. No, I'm not saying your feelings are inappropriate in any way as I think we all feel the same to one degree or another. "They" say the best we can do for others is to do our own personal best to remain upbeat, cheerful and optimistic. (Hope this makes sense and doesn't sound like I'm trying to preach.)

It is a personal choice when it comes to blogging. There is always something going on in our world that brings sadness into many lives. Nature's devastation cannot be curtailed whether we blog or we don't. You need to do what feels right to you.
Hurricanes are very destructive and scary. Your header tells a story even as it is beautiful to look at...it is also sad~

I think most people feel this way. Sending my very best wishes to those affected.

Sometimes the only and best thing we can do is "show up." To people involved in a potential life changing disaster just knowing that others acknowledge it with kindness is a huge support. I think folks who go into depression upon hearing of a situation they are not involved in are transferring an existing condition to another situation. Especially if it becomes all consuming as that really helps no one.

We are all more aware of things of this nature before, during and after the event. We are more aware than ever before in this world of instant everything. In some ways it may not be a good thing for a lot of folks.

All we can do is pray and hope for the best. Nature is beautiful but it can also be very cruel.
